The Glucose Tolerance test measures how well your body is able to handle glucose, or sugar, after consuming a sugary drink. It’s commonly used to diagnose diabetes or prediabetes.
The results of the test can help your healthcare provider determine if you have diabetes, prediabetes, or normal blood sugar levels. If your blood sugar levels are high during the test, you may need additional testing or treatment to manage your blood sugar levels.

Glucose Markers
Tolerance Test
During the test, you will be asked to fast for at least 8 hours before coming to the lab. Then, you will be given a sweet liquid that contains 75 grams of glucose.
Your blood sugar levels will be measured at three different times: before you drink the glucose solution, and then 1 hour and 2 hours after you drink it. These measurements will show how your body responds to the glucose load and how well it regulates your blood sugar levels.
